Pont-Saint-Esprit is a city in France, in the region of Languedoc-Roussillon, Gard department. The population of the city is 10,000 people. The city is located on the right bank of the Rhone River. The settlement originated in the 5th century. In 1265 and 1309 a bridge was built over the Rhone River and the port of Saint-Saturnin-du-Port was renamed.
