Budapest is the capital of Hungary, divided into two parts by the Danube River. The chain bridge, built in the 19th century, connects the hilly area of Buda and the flat Pest. On the funicular you can climb the Castle Hill, where the Old Town district of Buda and the History Museum of Budapest are located, the collection of which introduces the history of the city from the Roman era. The Matthias Church, built in the 13th century, and the Fisherman's Bastion, with the towers of which offer a magnificent view of the city, are located on the square of the Holy Trinity. The population of the city is one million eight hundred thousand people.
