Detroit is the largest city in Michigan. Not far from the city center is located neoclassical building of the Detroit Institute of arts, famous, in particular, the frescoes of Diego Rivera on industrial subjects. The architecture of the building is inspired by the connection of Detroit, nicknamed "the city of motors", with the automotive industry. Detroit is the birthplace of Motown Records, a record company whose history of conquering the American charts is demonstrated in the former headquarters, and now a Museum called Hitsville USA. The population of Detroit is 670,000 people.
