Corvin Castle is the ancestral home of the Hungarian feudal house of Hunyadi in the south of Transylvania, in the modern Romanian city of Hunedoara. Matthew Corwin's father, Janos Hunyadi, built it in the middle of the 15th century on an elevated rock near the Zlashte river.
