Senatskaya Square is one of the central squares of St. Petersburg. Located at the western end of the Alexander Garden. The Bronze Horseman is a monumental equestrian monument to the first Russian Emperor Peter the Great, created in 1768-1778 under the direction of the French sculptor Etienne Maurice Falconet, opened on Senate Square in St. Petersburg on August 7, 1782. Alexander Garden is a garden in the Admiralteisky district of St. Petersburg. It is located in the very center of the city, adjacent to the southwestern and southeastern sides of the Admiralty. The garden opened in 1874. Named in honor of Emperor Alexander ΙΙ.
