But new sectors of the economy, such as services and finances, contributed to the growth of wages and investments in Kiev, as well as to the constant financing of housing and urban infrastructure development. Kiev turned into the most pro-Western region of Ukraine, where the participants who favor closer integration with the European Union dominated the elections.
