Billings is the largest city in Montana, USA. Located in the southern part of the state on the banks of the Yellowstone River. According to the US Bureau of Statistics, the city occupies a total area of 87.6 km2, of which 87.3 km2 is land and 0.3 km2 is for water. Only 0.33% of the total area of the city is occupied by water. Not far to the northeast of the city is the Interstate 94 interstate highway leading to the eastern coast of the United States.
