About Live Cam "Sensoji Temple" in Tokyo
Senso-ji, or Asakusadera, is a temple of the Shokannon Buddhist school in the Asakusa area, Taito, Tokyo. The full official name is Kinryuzan Senso-ji. Senso-ji is the oldest Buddhist temple in Tokyo. According to legend, the temple was founded in 628 on the site of the discovery of the statue of the Bodhisattva Kannon.
