The Plitvice Lakes National Park is a forest reserve with an area of 295 sq. km, located in the central part of Croatia. The peculiarity of the park is a cascade of 16 lakes connected by waterfalls and a limestone canyon. The lakes are also linked by hiking trails. Here you can ride on an electric boat, plying between the 12 upper and 4 lower lakes. The latter end with a Big waterfall 78 m high.
