About webcam "Marszalkowska street" in Warsaw
Marszalkowska street — one of the main thoroughfares in the historic centre of Warsaw. Associates Bank area in the North and the area of the Lublin Union in the South. Contrary to a sometimes encountered in the last decades of speculation about the connection between the street name with the figure of the XX century józef Piłsudski (1867-1935), a street before his birth was named for another military title of Marshal — Francis Belinsky (1683-1766). The street was laid with the participation of the statesman of Poland in 1757. At the time she was a bit shorter, and went from Royal street to the streets of Vidocq. The street was almost completely destroyed after the Warsaw uprising of 1944. Its restoration and reconstruction in the postwar period coincided with the era of socialist realism, which affected the formation of its new architectural look.
