Alaska is the largest and most sparsely populated state of the United States, lying to the northwest of Canada. It is known for its diverse landscapes, dominated by tundra, mountains and forests, rich flora and fauna and numerous small towns. Active outdoor activities are popular in the state: skiing, cycling and kayaking. In the vast Denali National Park is Mount Denali (formerly known as McKinley) - the highest point in North America. In special natural conditions in Alaska live about 750 000 people.
